I’m Roni Sidhu, a photographer, a wanderer, and someone who’s always been drawn to people and their stories.
Growing up, we moved home and areas a lot, due to my father's work. Each move meant starting over again for me, new schools, new streets, and losing the communities I had just started to belong to. When I moved to London at ten, I was overwhelmed by how big it was, all the different cultures, sounds, smells and so on. I think that’s when the curiosity really began for me. London was and still is a giant melting pot of cultures, stories, and contrasts, Where every street corner holds a story waiting to be captured and told.
Photography came to me through my uncle, who gave me one of his old cameras. I started walking the city with it, not to take pictures at first, but to look, to slow down, to connect. Over time, it became a way of listening.
My Indian heritage runs through everything I do. The influence of my people on London is something I carry with pride, and it constantly shapes the way I see, in contrast, in feeling.
At the heart of it all, I’m just fascinated by people and the way they interact with the environment around us. Photography lets me be close to them, even if just for a moment.
Whatever your creative project might be, get in touch and we can discuss it.
I’ll be more than happy to listen to your ideas and see how I can help you.
